Consultant developed estimating procedures and estimating templates/assemblies in Success estimating software as part of development of an enterprise project management software solution. Standardized project work breakdown structure (WBS), organization breakdown structure (OBS), enterprise project structure (EPS) and charge accounts across a broad range of project types for CAS compliance. Success Estimating software was selected because it satisfied company needs and met applicable government estimating system standards. Consultant optimized the transfer of data between Success estimating software and Primavera P6 scheduling software using Success Schedule Exchange. Consultant completed detailed proposal estimates for various projects. Shaw AREVA MOX Services, LLCConsultant and Technical Expert to providing estimating management and estimating services to support the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility Project (MOX Project). This $4 billion project for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will be used to convert legacy weapons grade plutonium to commercial nuclear fuel. Estimating services included procedure development and implementation, quantify takeoffs, parametric modeling, risk analysis, and detailed pricing to forecast construction, startup and operations costs for various stages of the project design. Because the project was a sole source firm fixed price contract with the DOE, services included the preparation of detailed and comprehensive Basis of Estimate documentation to support final contract negotiations.
